IMA Celebrates Graduation of New Batch of Photographers, Editors, Directors, Sound & Montage Technicians

Under the auspices and in the presence of Sheikh Dr. Ibrahim Al-Duaij Al-Ibrahim Al-Sabah, Governor of Al-Ahmadi, International Media Academy (IMA) organized a graduation party for its students in the specializations of direction, shooting, editing , sound engineering, printed press and 3D animation movies design, at Movenpick Hotel of Free Zone. The celebration was attended by a number of journalists, media figures and the graduates’ families, for celebrating the graduation of a collection of specialized cadres specialized in television and press work field. The graduates’ families attended the celebration with delightful feelings as they will see the result of their children after 9 month of hard work. 

The media figure Mrs. Naiema Al-Hai, the announcer of the party welcomed the attendees, presided by the Governor of Al-Ahmadi Sheikh Ibrahim Al-Duaij Al-Sabah. After that, Mr. Yousif Al-Refaie, the General Manager of MIA delivered a speech through which he praised the outstanding professional level of the students during the execution of the graduation projects. He also blessed this occasion for the graduates as it stands for the real beginning of their career life, supported by experience and the specialized academic study.

One of the graduates, Mrs. Anoud Al-Zamel gave a speech on behalf of her colleagues, through which she expressed their pleasure with this precious occasion which reflects the graduates’ happiness. She also commended MIA management and the administrative and teaching staff for the facilities they presented that helped the students in learning and training.

During the party, there was a presentation for the best graduation project for the batch of October 2009 titled “Illusion” directed by the student Mohamed Al-Enezi who used exciting and horror style in his story. The story is about two patient women in the one of Neuropsychiatric Disorders hospitals; and each lady is narrating her own story which led her to enter the hospital. The film relied on the psychological horror and unexpected end. In addition, there was a presentation for the best graduation project for the batch of March 2010 titled “Black Ink” about the attempts of colonialism to divide the map of the Islamic world by using black ink. Throughout the story, the main focus was on the map which represented the target for the colonist. The students were awarded for their special projects, along with honoring the top students of every batch and the distinguished students of all specializations. Furthermore, MIA honored some art figures including Suad Abdullah, Mariyam Al-Saleh, Abdulkarim Abdulqader, Abdullah Al-Ruwaished, Abdulrahman Al-Aql, Dr. Sulayman Al-Askari and Bsama Hamada, in addition to the giant of comic art, Abdulhussein Abdulreda.

IMA Organizes “Crane Camera Skills” Course for Ministry of Information Personnel

International Media Academy “IMA”, one of Al-Nazaer branches organized a training course titled “Electronic Shooting by Using crane” participated by 14 persons. The course included a number of subjects such as the identification of the crane parts, how they can be unfastened and fixed, in addition to the techniques of the camera motion and the cameraman skills in using crane. Throughout the course, the participants gained the skills of adjusting the crane scales in the flat and rough places and they were also acquainted with lightning techniques used during shooting. Participants completed all trainings and practical applications and they got an idea about the problems which the cameraman may face and finding out the best sensible solutions for them.

For their parts, the participants expressed their pleasure with these specializing courses by which they can develop their artistic and creative skills, indicating that they wish they could have more courses. At the end, certificates were distributed to all participants.

It is worth mentioning that IMA suggested a course for radio and television presentation, according to the desire of many of the academy clients from ministries, governmental agencies and media corporations that will initiate on the first days of next October. The aim of this course is to find out the talented and inventive people to teach and train them how to be professionals in programming, radio, television and news presentation art.

Hussein Fahmy and Mamdouh Al-Laithi visit Kuwait
at the graduation of new batch of students of the International Media Academy

International Media Academy celebrated the graduation of a new batch of students in the directing, editing, photography, lighting and sound engineering, and press under the auspices of the Deputy Minister of Information Sheikh / Faisal Al-Malik Al-Sabah and the star actor Hussein Fahmi and the President of the Union of Professional and head of the Egyptian cinema Mamdouh Al- Laithi and former Minister of Information Mohammad Al-Sanousi and media Yousef Al -Jassim and a large number of the press and media.

The Director of the Academy delivered a speech in which he stressed to extend a helping hand to support graduates and youthful energies, also made famous scenarist, Mamdouh Al-Laithi speech he praised the role of IMA in the graduation of students with academic study and practical experience.

The actor Hussein Fahmi delivered a speech in which he described as the next stage of the graduates (eternal hard work) and they need to persevere and make great efforts to reach the high craftsmen, and stressed that the art of science and culture.

Were presented graduation certificates to students and teachers in addition to honoring a number of prominent artists in Kuwait for the technical bids and technical careers , gaint comedy Abdull Hussain Abdull Reda , Ghanem Saleh, Suad Abdullah, Ali Al Mufeedi by his son Khalid Al Mufaidi , Maryam Al-Saleh, Mansour Al-Mansour, and was finally honoring Sheikh Faisal Al-Malik and artist Hussein Fahmy and Script writer Mamdouh Al-Laithi.

International Media Academy celebrated the graduation of a newly journalists presence of the journalist writer Anis Mansour, and media Wagdy Alhakim

International Media Academy celebrated the first batch of diploma holders «journalist destruction», which was organized in cooperation with the restructuring of manpower of Kuwait, which was under the auspices of Minister of Oil and Information Minister Sheikh Ahmad Al-Abdullah Al-Ahmad Al-Sabah, who turns him and Deputy Minister for Information Sheikh Faisal Al-Malik Al-Sabah, and that, at the Hyatt Regency, The ceremony was attended by Secretary General of the restructuring program, acting, Fawzi Majdali and writer Anis Mansour, Yousef Al-Rifai director of the Academy and Chairman of the Board of Directors of isotopes and former Minister of Information Mohammad Al-Sanousi, radio and wise grandfather and a crowd of parents and those concerned with the media.

Institute of International Media Academy celebrated the graduation of a new impetus in the areas of information

International Media Academy celebrate graduating a new batch of trainees in the disciplines of directing, photography, lighting, editing, sound engineering and writing the script has been the Director of the Institute Mr. / Yousef Al-Rifai, addressed the opening and who talked, saying that "we now have a team of specialists in the field of information and added that the trainees now ready to join the labor market, especially as he appeared in the skies of Kuwait many new channels and in dire need of them, pointing to the existence of demand from young Kuwaitis and expatriates to specialize in this area.

The ceremony included a number of paragraphs that have highlighted the major activities and events undertaken by the trainees in various disciplines.

The ceremony ended with the distribution of graduation certificates to the graduates and provide trophies for the Director of the Institute and some professors.

Classes started at International Media Academy on September 16 th 2006 . The program started in the field of the T.V directing. Students at the academy are supposed to be well trained and qualified in all the responsibilities of a skilled director. They will have the ability of leading a successful team work through theoretical and practical academy study. The students will acquire a lot of experiences and they will learn many of the artistic skills to meet the challenges that director will encounter.
